Ryan ?Godda? Thompson
#99 Goalkeeper
6?1?? 200 lbs
Status: Free Agent
Nationality: Jamaican
Birthday: January 7, 1985
Summary:
Ryan Thompson is the epitome of dedication and selflessness. While still a youth in Jamaica Ryan spent his early years running track and playing cricket, but since his fascination with football was born he has never looked back. He has dedicated himself to being the best he can be, so much so that Ryan is currently being groomed as the Jamaican National Team goalkeeper for World Cup 2014. It is his dedication that has propelled him to the national league stage and to so many accolades in the world of football.
Ryan?s selflessness is beyond words and benefits his entire team. In only his sophomore year at Tampa, Ryan was left with a choice: forfeit a year of eligibility or watch his team finish a dismal year. With only eight games remaining in the season, Ryan sacrificed that year of eligibility to lead his team from the bottom of the table to a quarter-final finish. In doing so, he displayed the qualities of a captain. It is that attitude that has made Ryan a leader from the day he walked onto the campus of The University of Tampa, and it is these qualities he continues to display on and off the field.

Player Summary
To see Akeem Priestley play with no idea of where he is from, your first thought would be that he must be from Brazil. Akeem has a smooth touch on the ball and wonderful mechanics without ever having been properly trained or developed by a top level club. Akeem has a passion for the game. Whether in Jamaica, the U.S.A, or in Europe, his skill and expertise has gained him a fan base which loves to watch him perform.
Akeem is a student of the game who continually strives to better himself. Once he was criticized for not playing defense - Akeem then spent a whole season developing that facet of his game. He is the definition of a professional athlete, not a celebrity. Adding Akeem to any team is not taking a chance - it?s a sure thing, because he will not quit! He is an exceptional athlete. No matter how bleak things may seem at times, Akeem?s motto is ?I walk by faith, and not by sight.?
